New Chair Positions to be Filled

Austin Lyon, CSP

Austin Lyon is a Safety Professional with 10 years of experience in the profession. His current professional role is as a Senior Risk Control Consultant with Gallagher National Risk Control working out of the Manhattan, New York office as an integral part of Gallagher’s Northeast Regional team.

He has his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Central Missouri in Safety Management with a minor in Business Administration.

His focus on the board in ASSP is to continue to grow the oldest chapter in ASSP history, network with as many other safety professionals as possible, help others begin new careers in Safety, recognize earned contributors and top talent as well as to help maintain the Chapter’s organizational structure with his Secretary, Awards & Honors Chair and the Jobs Chair duties. Austin sees the immense value in sharing knowledge, concepts and ideas with others in the profession and enjoys nothing more than learning new methods, techniques and points of view.

Carrie Lin

Carrie is currently a Senior Risk Control Consultant with Gallagher National Risk Control. She brings more than 10 years of risk management and safety experience in the insurance industry throughout New York and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Gallagher, she worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance and PMA Insurance delivering service to a diverse group of clients in areas of general industry specializing in healthcare. She has assisted her clients by conducting loss analysis, risk assessments and develop customized solutions to help organizations achieve their risk management goals.

Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety from SUNY Stony Brook and is a member of the New York City Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
